This course will take you through an experience of the causes of the American Revolution. Throughout the course, place yourself in the shoes of the colonists, British Soldiers, King of England, business owners, children, citizens of England and all the other characters you encounter throughout this experience. Think about whether you agree with the Loyalist (the colonists who what to stay loyal to the King of England) or the Patriots (the colonists who want freedom from British rule).

Students will read a Newbery type book and evaluate and collaborate with each other to determine what is a book of distinction.

Students will read an adventure novel and respond, collaborate, and communicate with each other to engage in media literacy and language arts standards.
